This video is a modification of the video "Shift Happens". It goes into the impact of social websites/tools. It is a good reminder for how important it is for a TL to stay current, teach students about websafety and use and to use technology appropriately and not just because it is there.
This video is great but should be previewed carefully if a TL decides to share it with students as there is a slide that may not be suitable for all classes. This is probably better for uni students.
I have tried to find who made the above video but the credits were too hard to read. If you want to know who made it then look at the credit slides at the end. I think it was made by the same people who made the video "Shift Happens".
Karl Fisch - http://thefischbowl.blogspot.com/ and Scott McLeod http://dangerouslyirrelevant.org/ wrote/made/are responsible for Shift Happens and the different versions.
More information as well as later versions can be found here:

This blog http://socialnomics.net/2009/09/24/new-shift-happens-did-you-know-video-shows-the-shift-is-to-social-media/ also goes into how social media influences our society.
They made me think about how these tools can be used in libraries or at the very least on the library webpage.
Dangerously irrelevant a blog by Scott MacLeod lists the webtools he uses everyday. (http://dangerouslyirrelevant.org/2010/01/13-technologies-i-cant-live-without.html)
We really do need to shift the way we think about the influence of ICTs so that we can best serve our users.
