Museums, Libraries, and 21st Century Skills

A big thank you to Judith Way (SLAV Bright Ideas blog) for posting this information on OZTL_NET.

On 8 April 2010, Judith Way
(http://slav.globalteacher.org.au/2010/04/08/museums-libraries-and-21st-century-skills/
posted this article - Museums, Libraries and the 21st Century Skills (http://www.imls.gov/pdf/21stCenturySkills.pdf) - and information on the initiative on OZTL_NET.
More information can be found on the website: http://www.imls.gov/about/21stCSkills.shtm

This quote is from the website explaining the initiative:
“The Institute's Museums, Libraries, and 21st Century Skills initiative underscores the critical role our nation’s museums and libraries play in helping citizens build such 21st century skills as information, communications and technology literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, civic literacy, and global awareness. “
I like the chart on page nine of the article as it highlights how “libraries and museums can build on current strengths and embrace new approaches” for the 21st century.

Thanks again to Judith Way for sharing. I love her blog!
